Zoning Ordinance

 

The City of Portsmouth for some time has been developing a new Zoning Ordinance. The latest revision was made on June 11, 2009.

A group of public hearings have been scheduled:

HEARINGS ON DRAFT REVISED ZONING ORDINANCE AND SITE REVIEW REGS The public is invited to a public hearing tomorrow night (July 9) to provide feedback on the draft revised Zoning Ordinance and draft Site Review Regulations. The hearing begins at 7 p.m. in the Eileen Dondero Foley Council Chambers. You can see the draft land use regulations at www.cityofportsmouth.com by clicking on the link for "Draft Revised Zoning Ordinance." Copies also may be reviewed at the Library, City Clerk's Office and Planning Department. Additional public hearings are scheduled July 23, August 6, and Sept. 10. All hearings begin at 7 p.m. and will be televised live on Channel 22. Contact: 610-7290.

It's hoped the the Portsmouth Advocates will be prepared to attend the July 23rd public hearing to express their thoughts.
